Future Scenarios of maritime Logistics and their Impact on Vocational Training

Organisation of work and application of technology in the port of the future is likely to change within the forthcoming decade. This paper presents a scenario analysis with a time horizon of 2030 focusing on the application areas Digital Port, Maritime Supply-Chain, and Smart Shipping. The analysis is anticipating and projecting 19 key factors which influence the development of the application areas in the future. For each application area a scenario is presented allowing the analysis of their strategic implications in due consideration of necessary competence developments in vocational training.
