Rational Choice Theory: Resisting Colonization

This is a book which has a strong rationale, is philosophically and theoretically well informed, structurally well organized, clearly explained (for the most part), and fulfills its own objectives very well. It is likely to appeal mostly to social scientists, and particularly sociologists, including those with a primary interest in social theory and the philosophy of social science, as well as those with substantive interests covered in the individual chapters. It may also have some appeal for those concerned with philosophy and/or social policy. The accessibility of most of the chapters in the book means that it could be used fairly easily by a range of readers from midto upper-level undergraduate students through to postgraduates and academics.
