Design of sliding mode variable structure control for HVDC

In order to improve the performance of the HVDC for the transmission system,design of nonlinear control system with sliding mode variable structure was presented,which used fixed pre-trigger angle control mode for inverter side,fixed direct current control mode for the rectifier side,and made use of the three-step mathematical mode of the system and applied state feedback precision linearization method combining with the sliding mode variable structure control theory.The stimulation results show that the requirements of the control system can be met and the performance of HVDC power transmission for power assistance can be improved.
