He called himself, in contrast with the usual category of child prodigy, an “adult non-prodigy.”However, our experiences in the cello–piano genre were very enjoyable—he introduced me to Paul Hindemith's “Drei Leichte Stücke” (3 easy pieces) for cello and piano, as well as more of the standards. He was definitely one of a kind, and we all shall miss him.
