Technical Report for Contract N00039-82-C-0235, 15 November 1981-30 September 1983

Abstract : This paper briefly presents the design of a distributed relational data base system. Then, the authors discuss experimental observations of the performance of that system executing both short and long commands. Conclusions are also drawn concerning metrics that distribute query processing heuristics should attempt to minimize. Lastly, they comment on architectures which appear viable for distributed data base applications.
