Analysis of Actuating Mechanism of Harmonic Synthesis Electronic Cam

A concept about a new type of electronic cam is put forward in this paper.A special piezoelectric ceramic sandwich beam actuator was designed as active piece.The output movement can realize the characteristic of harmonic synthesis and get high output precision by controlling frequency,amplitude and initial phase of every element composing periodical input voltage.The paper analyzed the actuating mechanism of the core element of this electronic cam,presented a simulating example and verified the feasibility of this new type of electronic cam.
