Embedded-device-based character input method with single key and double knobs combined

The invention provides an embedded-device-based character input method with a single key and double knobs combined. Operation can be easily and conveniently carried out by means of the method, and a character input device is simple in structure. The method includes the following steps that firstly, a key and knob character input mode is started; secondly, the knob A is rotated, characters in a character set phi appear at a current character input position sequentially, and the knob A is stopped from being rotated when the needed character appears, which indicates that the character is selected; thirdly, the knob B is rotated, the current character input position moves according to the rotation sequence, and the knob B is stopped from being rotated when the current character input position moves to the position of the character needing to be input, which indicates that the position corresponds to the character selected in the second step; fourthly, the second step and the third step are sequentially and repeatedly executed till a needed character string is completely and correctly displayed; fifthly, a key is pressed, and then a system can be informed that input of the needed character string is completed.
