In this study, a simulation program based on virtual environment concerning radiation work at nuclear power plants was developed. VRML and Java Applet were used to develop this simulation program. Radiation exposure levels were predicted through radiation work in a virtual reality environment, and high dose danger zones were visually represented by graphically visualizing dose rates so that it is possible to predict exposure rates of virtual workers. As a result of the simulation it turned out that the work traffic line that moved to the area where the dose rate concentric circle was light-shaded receives the lowest exposure dose radiation exposure level. According to the conventional method, the shortest work time or the shortest work path has the lowest radiation, but the result of the simulation showed that the exposure dose not depended on only work time, but also the distance between the worker and the radiation source.
