An Adaptive Dwell Scheduling Algorithm for Digital Array Radar

A dwell scheduling algorithm for DAR is proposed according to the characteristics of signal processing in DAR.The dwell scheduling algorithm is based on an online pulse interleaving technique, which realizes the interleaving execution of different dwell tasks under the time and energy constraints. The waiting durations can be used to transmit beams or receive returning data of other dwells.Furthermore, the waiting durations of different dwells can be overlapped.Simulation results demonstrate that compared with conventional dwell scheduling algorithm, the proposed one can achieve smaller task drop ratio and thus higher hit value ratio for the effective utilization of the waiting and receiving durations.
