Pipeline sliding window max-log-MAP algorithm for CPM noncoherent detection

In this paper, an improved branch metric calculation for continuous phase modulation (CPM) noncoherent detection is employed, and the pipeline sliding window Max-Log-MAP algorithm for CPM noncoherent detection is investigated. The sliding window technique significantly reduces processing latency and memory requirement. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme exhibits better performance and considerable robustness in the serial concatenated CPM system under severe phase noise.
