Application of Distributed Temperature Sensing Technology in High-Voltage Cable

The technology of distributed temperature sensing is a novel technique surveying the real-time distribution of spatial temperature pattern.This technology is based on the propagation characteristic of laser spreading in optical fiber. The distributed temperature of the field along the fiber can be continuously measured by this technology.This paper introduces the thermometric fundamentals of the sensing technology and its application in detecting the interior temperature of high-voltage cable. In addition, the research indicates that the assemblage mode of fiber can influence the thermometric accuracy.
