Apparatus and method for recognizing user emotional status using short-time monitoring of physiological signals

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for recognizing user emotional status using short-time monitoring of physiological signals are provided to recognize correctly the emotional status of the user by sensing a physiological signal from a sensor and monitoring the sensed signal within a short time. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for recognizing user emotion by monitoring a physiological signal within a short time includes a physiological signal acquisition unit and an emotion recognition unit. The physiological signal acquisition unit includes one or more sensor, an amplification/filter portion(205), a multiplexer(206), an A/D converter(207), and an RF transmission portion(208). The sensor is used for receiving the physiological signals. The amplification/filter portion amplifies and filters the physiological signals of the sensor. The multiplexer is used for classifying the processed signals of the amplification/filter portion according to physiological signals. The A/D converter is used for converting an output of the multiplexer to a digital signal. The RF transmission portion transmits the converted digital signal to the motion recognition unit.
