Electromagnetic Vibration Power Generator

This paper shows an alternative for supplying wireless sensors with energy: electrical power is generated from an ambient mechanical vibration by use of a vibration power generator. As the generator is excited by ambient mechanical vibration, its construction produces a relative movement of a magnetic circuit. This movement induces a current into an electrical coil due to Faraday's law. For aeronautical applications like e.g. helicopters, the generated power of around 5 mW provides enough energy to supply a wireless sensor.
