A Technique For Folsom Fluting

AbstractPast theories on how Folsom points may have been fluted are rejected on the basis that their fluting success to failure ratio is too low to have supported such a widespread industry over space and time. This paper describes a fluting method which now provides a fluting success of 90%. The Folsom type has been divided into six type-varieties. Each of the fluted varieties are replicated and assigned manufacturing attributes by which they may be identified.
