Vehicle Plate Recognition for Wireless Traffic Control and Law Enforcement System

We present here novel image processing algorithms used to identify the license plate number of vehicles. The approach taken here was developed specifically for a wireless traffic control and law enforcement system. The particular requirements involved led to a different approach than traditionally taken in vehicle plate recognition.
