The Influence of Coix-seed Reactive Derivatives (CRD) Intake on Th1/Th2 Balance in Healthy Adults: A Preliminary Research

The Influence of Coix-seed Reactive Derivatives (CRD) Intake Evidence that Coix-seed Reactive Derivatives (CRD) intake might be effective for allergic conditions is gradually accumulated. Therefore, we studied the influence of CRD intake on Th1/Th2 Balance. Eight Healthy Adults were orally administrated CRD 6g/ day for 4 weeks, and we measured the value of blood Th1/Th2. Th2 and Th0 decreased significantly, and Th1/Th2 relatively increased (not significant). Further studies are needed to define the immunomodulatory effects of CRD.
