Development of context-based BIM query Style Description

To Smart Building & Urban Management (SBUM), recently Building Information Modeling (BIM) has been increased as efficient solutions with utilization and convergence of abundant 3D building objects DB for existing problems. They occur using only oriented technologies at FM, energy, GIS, etc. For BIM-based SBUM, first of all BIM DB needs to query, and the results should be visualized effectively to user through the use case context. However the related researches are not many at home and abroad, because BIM has to be started to apply lately. Also data integration and application researches for FM, BAS, BEMS have been processing within 2–3 years. To develop the context-based BSD structure, this study analyzes the IFC-based BIM DB structure and defines the simplified BIM query language structure. After that, the case study about developed language and the verification are worked for confirming ability which is that BSD can visualize the query results based on user use case. With proposed BSD, the tools for upgrading the query result as various use case like SBUM can be offered to AEC field.
