Über ein Tetramethylammonium(1:8)-molybdat / Tetramethylammonium(1: 8)-molybdate

The tetramethylammoniummolybdate [N(CH3)4]2Mo8O25 · 5 H2O, obtained from an aqueous solution, belongs to an as yet unknown polymolybdate structure type. The manner of the water attachment was explored by thermal dehydration, wide line NMR spectroscopic methods as well as by the comparison of its IR spectrum with the deuterated analogs. The vibration spectra are discussed. Cell constants were determined by X-ray techniques.
