Inborn Error of Vitamin B12 Metabolism

Myelopathy due to subacute combined degeneration of the spinal cord is a neurologic disorder that manifests with progressive paralysis and paresthesia. Its relationship to the deficiency of vitamin Blz is well known’; it is a pathognomonic feature of pernicious anemia that is primarily an adult disease. In children, it is rare and this primary demyelinating disease is usually related to inherited defects of methyltransferase activities, ie, inborn errors of methylcobalamin
