Electric power transformer engineering - Book Review
暂无分享,去创建一个
This reference book presents practical information on all types of power transformers including distribution, phase-shifting, rectifier, dry-type, instrument, stepvoltage, constant-voltage, and reactors. It describes the inner workings and design details of their construction and performance. Loaded with photos, graphs, illustrations, and data, the book conveys concise details of transformer operation and the numerous considerations that go into the design. For example, there are exceptional well-done diagrams and descriptions illustrating leakage flux paths of a practical real world transformer and how various designs affect the losses. Design details are also described for many factors unique to power transformers such as fault current forces, in-rush currents, harmonics, thermal performance, and overvoltage. The first half of the book describes the details about transformers, and the second half is devoted to various other topics relating to these types of transformers. Some of the topics covered are insulation (paper and oils, very brief descriptions), bushing design (much more detail), load tap changers, thermal performance, testing, protection, noise, maintenance, and standards. Because this book contains an up-todate practical review of all of the important transformer types, it would make for a good reference book for power engineers and power engineering students who need a good review of power transformer design.
