Study on Load Current Feedforward Control Strategy for PWM Rectifier

Dual-closed loop PI control can hardly let PWM rectifier obtain good dynamic performance under load vari-ation,due to its inherent demerit in control structure and the lag of PI regulation.The dual-closed loop PI control sys-tem block diagram is constructed based on the mathematical model of PWM rectifier on two-phase synchronous rotat-ing reference frame.The dynamic feedforward compensator and the corresponding simplified static feedforward com-pensator for load variation are designed.The experimental results indicate that the static feedforward compensation can improve the anti-disturbance dynamic performance of PWM rectifier notably.The factor that affects the performance of static feedforward compensation is analyzed and the methods to further improve the anti-disturbance dynamic perfor-mance of PWM rectifier are proposed.
