The effect of antenna mutual coupling in a mimo radar system

This paper develops a mathematical model, complete with antenna mutual coupling and radio frequency circuit blocks, for a multiple-input multiple-output radar system. Simulations using the model demonstrate that mutual coupling causes the observed angle of a target to shift from its actual angle and increases the side lobe level of the MIMO radar virtual array response.
