Apparatus and method for cooperative communication in wireless communication system

Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for performing a base station (BS) cooperative communication in a wireless communication system. The BS cooperative communication method includes the processes of measuring signal quality of one or more neighboring BSs, determining the reliability of communication of a terminal, evaluating the signal measurement values of at least one neighboring BS for determining members of a cloud cell for the BS cooperative communication by using one among the different thresholds as a result of the determination, and requesting the change of the cloud cell to a serving base station depending on the evaluation result.
