Exercitando Nomenclaturas Químicas com Dispositivos Móveis: Uma experiência prática com o uso do MyQuímica

This work presents the results of case studies used to evaluate the digital game for Android mobile devices called MyQuimica and describes its new version. This game is intended to aid in the learning process of chemistry, specially regarding chemical nomenclatures. Besides, another objective of the game is to familiarize the students with the periodic table. The evaluation presented in this work was performed with students from public and particular high schools and also first year college students from the Chemistry course intended to educate future teachers. It consisted on the use of the game through a tablet followed by the completing of an evaluation questionnaire in which the student was not identified. After this initial evaluation, we could conclude that the game was well evaluated by the 39 students that filled the forms. Most of them (90%) considered that they would have liked to use the game to exercise their knowledge on chemical nomenclatures when they learned it and they also said that the game really helps the students in their familiarization with the periodic table.
