Capacity and Coverage Analyses for the Generalized Distributed Cellular Architecture-Group Cell

This paper provides a novel cellular structure: generalized distributed cellular architecture-group cell, which is suitable for advanced physical techniques and solves the problem of smaller cells caused by higher carrier frequency used in future. The concept and the structure of the group cell are described and the slide handover strategy based on the group cell is introduced in details. The system capacity analyses with Shannon analyses and coverage analyses based on outage probability are presented in theory analysis. Finally, compared to traditional cellular structure, the simulation results show the capacity and coverage merits brought by group cell architecture
