The invention discloses an air flotation type detection immobilization device which is composed of a compressed air source, a base seat and an air flotation piston. The compressed air source is connected with a gas purifying device, and communicated with an air channel in the base seat through a gas flow regulating valve and a pipeline. The air flotation piston is installed in an air cylinder on the base seat, wherein the air flotation piston moves up and down along the air cylinder under a function of compressed air, the air flotation piston relies on the compressed air to suspend and support a skin part to be detected, the top of the air flotation piston is a half round housing, the air flotation piston applies support force to skin when contacted with any point of the skin part, the support force is along the normal direction of the shape of the skin, the external diameter of a support rod of the air flotation piston is in clearance fit with a guide hole on the base seat, and the support rod of the air flotation piston plays a part in transmitting the support force and guiding. An annular groove is arranged on the lower portion of a piston body of the air flotation piston, wherein four air guide holes which enable compressed gas to fill intervals between the piston body and the air cylinder are symmetrically arranged in the groove, and the air guide holes form floating support for the radial direction of the air flotation piston, and simultaneously play a role in reducing forcible clamping.
