TEREQUIL: a program to calculate equilibrium composition pairs in ternary systems

Abstract TEREQUIL is a computer program to calculate 2-phase equilibria within ternary systems. Written in ANSI standard C, it can run on any micro-, mini-, or mainframe computer with an available C-compiler. TEREQUIL only requires knowing the two equations of state for the two phases examined, or one equation of state if a solvus. The algorithm minimizes the Gibbs Free Energy of the 2-phase assemblage and imposes no restriction on the form(s) of the equations of state. The equations of state, and, if convenient, some coordinate conversion formulae, need to be inserted in the listing of the program prior to compilation: thus using TEREQUIL requires some program writing.
