A comparative analysis of BEENISH and iBEENISH in WSN

Wireless sensor networks are consist of several sensor nodes that acquired the information from their surroundings and then retransmit to the end user. In clustering, cluster head selection is the main paradigm in wireless sensor network. Overall, clustering method is one of the solutions which decrease the energy consumption. In this particular method, the cluster members send their data to the current cluster head and the data collected by the cluster head will transfer to the base station. To do the clustering is one of the major factors in the area of wireless sensor network. In this paper, Cluster head selection is done through the K-means clustering approach which makes the network more stable and enhances the overall network lifetime. The simulation results show that the new protocol outperforms than the BEENISH protocol.
