Subjective Quality Controlling Based Integrated Error Resilience Technology for Video Communication

An integrated error resilience technology for video communication is proposed in this paper.At beginning,a control strategy of subjective video quality is presented.Then,an unequal forward error-correction (FEC) based on H.263+ video coder is suggested to protect the different video information.However,if there are still error bits in the reconstructed images,temporal/spatial error concealment is used in the video decode according to the various coding types.Simulation results show that the subjective and objective video quality is obviously improved using proposed integrated error resilience technology with control of subjective quality.These technologies have been used in practice.
