ADS-B over SatelliteThe world’s first ADS-B receiver in Space

More efficient use of airspace and flight routes as well as more economic flight trajectories require to extend controlled airspace to regions, for which ground based surveillance cannot be applied. In this paper the world's first in-orbit demonstration for space based ADS-B surveillance is presented, hosted on the ESA satellite PROBA-V.
