Multistatic and multi-aspect SAR data acquisition to improve image interpretation

Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images sometimes suffer from shadowing effects, and therefore objects of interest are often not visible. Further, the reflectivity of objects strongly depends on the acquisition geometry. This paper shows how multistatic and multi-aspect SAR can be used to augment the image information and to improve the radar image interpretation. Mono, bi- and multistatic SAR images have been acquired using different geometries. First examples of data analysis show the possibilities to gather and combine scene information of different data acquisitions.
