A decision logic for trading between fire safety measures

Based on statistical data and Delphi input, a logic has been worked out which is capable of offering quantitative support for decisions concerning the equivalence of various fire safety alternatives. Examples of the use of the logic are presented and some conclusions drawn as to the relative merits of various fire safety measures.
