Teaching electrical machines in a 3D virtual space

A significant topic of electrical engineering training is electrical machines and drives because electrical machines are used not only in electrical energy production, but in mechatronics and also in vehicle technology. To teach students the structure and the operation of electrical machines with 2 dimensional illustrations is quite difficult. The 3 dimensional, animated contents significantly help to teach this important, not easily acquirable subject. The article focuses on the efficient teaching of asynchronous machines in a 3D VR space.
