Colourless Self-Seeded Source for CPRI3 Mobile Fronthaul over 70 km Reach

We demonstrate field trial CPRI3 error-free transmission over field fibre at 2.5 Gbit/s with DWDM self-seeded RSOAs in the O-band. The use of FEC in transponders enables to achieve 30 dB optical budget and up to 70 km reach.
