A new multicriteria methodology based on Analytic Hierarchy Process: the “Expert” AHP

Abstract Aim of the work is to illustrates the results of a study concerning the optimization of the layout of a manufacturing company through the proposal of a new decision-making multi-criterion methodology called “Expert” AHP based on the well known Analytic Hierarchy Process technique. The methodology proposed has been validated in the re-planning of the layout of an electromechanical company, in order to optimize the flow of the materials. We also illustrate the applicability of the resulting framework through a specific model proposed in the manufacturing company.
