Optimization and Comparative Analysis of Solar-Biomass Hybrid Power Generation System Using Homer

This paper proposes the techno-economical viability of stand-alone hybrid power system combining PV-Biomass for electrical energy generation in remote regions. In this study Homer software used for performing simulation and optimization of the system. Hybrid system which consists of PV, biomass, inverter and batteries is used to store the extra energy and for backup supply. Homer optimization system is employed to find the most effective combination of power generation and designed to minimizing the cost of system.
