Abstract With recent electronic technological advances, all-wave net radiation can be measured in remote areas. A low-cost, battery-operated integrator has been developed that utilizes a voltage-to-frequency conversion process to accurately record the low-level, bipolar, mV signal. Its bipolar function makes it especially adaptable for studying snow melt and evapotranspiration in remote areas.
