A Set of Antennas for Testing Electromagnetic Compatibility of Automotive Electronic Equipment

Nowadays, a lot of telecommunication systems are present in a car. Controlling the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of the various embedded electronic equipment is therefore a complex task. Many functions are electronically operated, including starting control, rain detector, GPS receivers, radar units for cruise control or collision avoidance... These are now provided in most vehicles. In order to test these electronic equipment, we develop a set of antennas operating in different frequency bands. This set of antennas, the design of which is presented in this paper, is very useful to validate directly the EMC of these systems on table and in the vehicle.
