In Vitro Antibacterial Activity of Extracts from Blaps rynchopetera Fairmaire

Objective: To explore the in vitro antibacterial activity of different polar parts of Blaps rynchopetera Fairmaire. Methods: The extracts were obtained by column chromatography on silica gel. Then,we measured the MIC and MBC of different components in extracts to six clinical pathogenic bacteria by tube dilution method. Results: Ethyl acetate showed stronger antibacterial activity in vitro than acetone extract. There were no antibacterial activity of ligroin, chloroform and methanol extract. Conclusion: B.rynchopetera Fairmaire exhibited good antibacterial effect in vitro, ethyl acetate extract is the key antibacterial activity site.
