Moldflow analysis of injection in notebook battery cover

In order to reduce notebook battery cover injection defects and increase success rate of trial-molding,mold structure optimization project of improving the quality of the product shape in mold design stage was proposed,the software Moldflow was adopted to simulate the injection mould of notebook battery cover.The influence of gate size,mold temperature and molding parameters on injection time,weldline and air trap locations were analyzed,the correctness of improvement was affirmed and the optimized injection molding parameters were got.Thus,the injection defects of notebook battery cover were solved and produce efficiency was increased.The result can provide gist for the mold designers to design and for the injection molding technologist to process parameter adjustment.
