Informational research of the knowledge base model in the expert system structure for the warehouse acceptance activities of the ship construction process

The efficient expert systems for reasoning about complex physical systems together with methods for automatic synthesis of models and learning, represent a new class of second generation expert systems. These techniques will enable the development of tools wihich are necessary for reasoning about systems in complex, for now not always suitable domains. Thereby not only that hard problems from such domains will be soloved more easily, but the expert systems for a wide class of industrial problems, ranging from prognosis and diagnosis to control of industrial processes, will become more feasible. The basic knowledge acquisition principles and techniques concerning the warehouse acceptance activities of the ship construction will be briefly illustrated in the paper. The selection of the most suitable and applicable knowledge representation forms and schemes for the purpose of implementation into the expert system will be given. Applying the A.I. language Turbo Prolog vel. 2.0. the software consultation module ( knowledge base coe) has been built IBM PC/AT for illustrative purposes
