The Dogmatic Value of Aesthetics1

Such is our starting-point, the ‘mystery’ as the painter Magritte called it, i.e. monstration, the power to exhibit related to aesthetics in this absolutist mode, the art of knowing how to handle certain tools in order to reach the human and nothing else, towards the trouble spot of the unspeakable; not only the body therefore and consciousness, but also the unbeknown, the inner stage of the animal gifted with speech.
