The research on a new detection scheme combining partial parallel interference canceller with decorrelative detection

A partial parallel interference canceller (PPIC) has the ability to resist the near-far problem and have much lower computational complexity, but its performance depends on the initial data estimation. The decorrelation detector can afford good data estimation because it does not need to know many parameters of the received signal. However, it shows great performance deprivation when the AWGN is high. An improved PPIC scheme is proposed to combat the near-far problem; it utilizes the advantages of these two detectors by combining them. Theoretical analysis and computer computation demonstrate that the proposed detection scheme has good BER performance and near-far resistance compared with the original two detectors.
