A critical study of a self-calibrating direction-finding method for arrays

The self-calibrating direction-finding method was developed by Friedlander and Weiss (1988). It refines the estimates of the array element gains and phases while it estimates the signal directions. This study shows that the outputs of the method could be inaccurate, even if noise is absent. >
