High Resolution spectral caracterization of sleep spindles

This paper deals with the analysis of the spindle part of the sleep electroencephalogram (EEG). The purpose is to extract pertinent features to caracterize the spindle. Due to the drawback of the previous approaches we propose the use of High Resolution (HR) techniques which permits to precisely caracterlze the spindle spectra. In section one, we provide a quick report of the results given by parametric methods. In section two, we give the main lines of the HR approach and provide in section 3 the obtained results.
