Interferences between faulted power circuits and communication circuits or pipelines-simplification using the decoupled method

The authors show that the calculation of the interferences affecting a single communication circuit or a single pipeline, caused by a short-circuit occurring along a single nearby transmission line, can be greatly simplified by using the decoupled method of S.T. Sobral et al. (1988). It is shown that this method allows the representation of both the magnetic and the resistive couplings existing between the transmission lines and the communication circuit or pipeline. The authors show also that the same method can be generalized, allowing the calculation of the interferences affecting several nearby communication circuits or pipelines, caused by a short-circuit occurring in one out of several nearby transmission circuits. >
