Chaos communication using unknown input observers

Chaos synchronization is a phenomenon in which two chaotic subsystems have equal states at each time step. In this paper, a design method is briefly described for unknown input observers used in system theory. Next, a chaos communication method based on design technique that achieves restoration of the information signals by chaos synchronization between a transmitter and a receiver is proposed. Further, with a view to improving the performance of resisting noise, an improved method is proposed by introducing the least-squares method. The performance of the proposed communication method is tested by simulation. © 2001 Scripta Technica, Electron Comm Jpn Pt 3, 84(12): 21–27, 2001
