Dispersion-Concentric Model for packed bed heat transfer

The Dispersion-Concentric Model was found to be theoretically sound provided that large axial fluid dispersion coefficients given by eqn (21) are assumed. The particle-to-fluid Nusselt numbers were considered to be large on the Modified D-C Model but the Nusselt numbers on Continuous Solid Phase Model of Littman et al. were found to decrease anomalously as Reynolds number decreases.
