Method for processing data in a terminal with digital broadcasting receiver

A method for processing data in a portable terminal having a digital broadcasting receiver is provided to stably output digital broadcasting data though reducing an initial buffering time to a minimum wherein the initial buffering time is for outputting the first multimedia broadcasting data. A method for processing data in a portable terminal having a digital broadcasting receiver comprises the following several steps. If the portable terminal receives corresponding digital broadcasting signals through an RF tuner(301), a controller senses the receipt of the digital broadcasting signals(303). The controller decodes the received digital broadcasting signals by controlling a demodulator, a demultiplexor, an audio decoder and a video decoder(305). The controller stores the decoded audio data at an audio outputting buffer at a set storage speed and stores the decoded video data at a video outputting buffer at a set storage speed by controlling audio outputting buffer and the video outputting buffer(307). The controller outputs the stored audio data at the first outputting speed and outputs the stored video data at the second outputting speed by controlling the audio outputting buffer, the video outputting buffer and a synchronizing processor(309). The controller changes the first outputting speed into the second outputting speed by adjusting the synchronizing processor wherein the first outputting speed is higher than the second outputting speed(311).
