The Interfacing of a Micro-Alternator with a Microcomputer for Real-Time Monitoring

Hardware and software details of the interfacing of a micro-alternator (a scaled model of a large alternator) with a microprocessor for the purpose of real-time monitoring in the laboratory are presented, together with the monitoring of its voltage, current, power, torque angle and frequency. An electronic circuit to monitor the above variables under transient conditions is discussed.
